Here Are Some Frequently Asked Questions About Our DJ Services

Trust Safari Sound to make your event more memorable. We have over 19,000 songs that are purchased legally. We only use quality sound systems. Contact us for any special requests.
  • What kind of music do you play?

    We have a large variety of songs to satisfy an array of musical tastes. We will play any song you would like to dance to. It can be rock, pop, country, the current dance music, or even polka.

  • What kind of events do you play?

    We mainly play at wedding receptions. We also perform at high school dances, proms, college parties, birthdays, anniversaries and holiday celebrations.

  • How much do you charge?

    We charge different rates for different events. Please call us to discuss the specifics of what you would like and will provide you with a quote. Our wedding package offers four hours of dance music and three hours of background or dinner music. 

  • What kind of equipment do you have?

    We use speakers from QSC. Our Chauvet DJ lighting equipment produces special effects and enhances your dance experience.

  • Will you make special announcements?

    Yes, we coordinate any special announcements that you want. We announce the bride and groom, wedding party entrance, cake cutting, bouquet or garter toss, etc. Our cordless microphone system allows your wedding party attendees or family members to also give the blessing, special toasts, or other announcements.

  • Do I have to select all of the music that will be played?

    People enjoy dancing to different kinds of music. We do ask that you select any special dances that you want to be played such as your first dance, parents dance, etc. or if there happen to be any songs that you don't want to be played. Otherwise, our experienced DJs will select appropriate music that appeals to your particular crowd. Your job is to have a great time and enjoy yourself with your guests!

  • Will you take special requests?

    Yes, you can. However, we will monitor the song choices to ensure that they are appropriate for the event and the crowd present.

  • Do you offer ceremonial music?

    Yes! We have done several wedding ceremonies at churches, reception halls, and outdoor venues. We have lapel microphones available for the minister and arrange equipment to minimize wind or extra noise. We can play entrance and exit music, songs during the ceremony or provide the equipment to enhance any vocal or instrumental performances.

  • How long have you been in business?

    We have been in business since 1986.

  • What attire do you wear?

    We dress appropriately for the occasion. Our DJs will be dressed formally in a vest and tie unless the wedding reception is casual.

  • How do we handle booking your services?

    A simple phone call can get the process started. Once we know your date, we will send a contract to you detailing the location and any special requests for your event. You have to return the contract with a $100 deposit to secure your date. The balance would then be due on the night of your event. If you prefer, you can pay the balance ahead of time so that you have one less thing to deal with on your big day.
